Communications with God?

I sat in my favorite park with my best friend. We laughed and giggled as we talked about life. we stood by the river and began singing to our God. When we looked around at creation, we were in awe of Him. It flowed out of us. It was the result of an authentic relationship with him. We were in awe that such an amazing God, who had created all of this, not only loved us, but died for us as well!

If God is as able to do such miraculous things as we christians claim to believe, how come we do not pray? How come we do not get excited about spiritual things? How come?

I think it is because we have not truly grasped whom we are serving, praising, talking to , etc, Β (even in the least!). We will never truly comprehend God. Which, when you think about it, is a good thing. I mean, who would want a god who they could understand? What would be the point of worshipping him, if he is just like the rest of us?

God is amazing! And we treat him like he can’t see our empty stares and our vacant worship. It saddens me, but oh how much more it must sadden God. He is so capable of answering our prayers, but we choose to not let him into our lives!

What if you woke up today with only what you thanked God for yesterday?

God is ready and waiting for you to come back into his loving embrace and cry out over your problems, weaknesses, unsaved friends, sins, and every other thing under the sun! He longs for your company! He wants to communicate to you. God almighty loves you.

He is waiting to forgive you, to give you new life. Your guilt doesn’t matter anymore. What are you waiting for?

Remember that your God awaits you. RUN.

Amen sister! We need to be like Mary and sit at our Lord’s feet once again. Our ministries, outreach, and testimonies are of no value if we do not make our relationship with Him our highest priority, and make it a necessity to daily sit in His presence. Then, our work for Him will flourish with the power of God.

“[Y]ou are anxious and troubled about many things, but one thing is necessary. Mary has chosen the good portion, which shall not be taken away from her.” Luke 11:41-42

Hey Emma! Great article! I do have a question: do you mind if I share this one my blog? I know that some people prefer that their things don’t get shared and if you’d rather me not, that’s totally fine! πŸ™‚

πŸ™‚ Thinking about your last comment in the article on guilt and forgiveness, it brought to mind something God has been bringing home to me in my life. That by holding on to guilt, or bitterness, we are surely not allowing His love. And, duh! But how dare we smother His love in that way?! I refuse to allow pain, bitterness, or guilt to take His love or forgiveness from me. I will not spit on His gift of love and forgiveness by insisting to hold onto the bitterness and guilt.
