“The prayers of all saints are a perpetual force against all the powers of darkness. These prayers are a mighty energy in overcoming the world, the flesh and the devil, and in shaping the destiny of God’s movements, to overcome evil and get the victory over the devil and all his works” – E.N. Bounds

I sat in my youth group, and my friend started to pray.
However, I was still thinking about what the prayer requests were.
We were praying over someone’s stubbed toe and a dead bird somebody else found in their yard. Now this question was echoing in my mind: Why were we praying over such petty things?
Not confessing your sin, is like not taking a shower.
What does it mean to be still?
It means to take time to be still before the Lord. It means taking time out of your busy life to be still before the Lord. No social media, laptop, phone, music. Be still and quiet before the Lord.
Every gift is from God.
James 1:17, “Every good and perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of the heavenly lights, who does not change like shifting shadows”.

“Prayer is our most formidable weapon, the thing which makes all else we do efficient.” ~E.M. Bounds
Do not simply “do words” and spit back Christian rhetoric without ever communicating with God. We are all guilty of doing this at one point or another.
I was at my college, walking out of class, and a girl from one of my classes was following me. So, I started up a conversation and we began conversing about the class, and then things turned to more personal. She asked me what my major was and I told her that at that specific college all I was doing was getting an associates degree of arts and a certificate in communications, but I plan on going into overseas missions.
