Personal Petition (A Series on Prayer)

“The prayers of all saints are a perpetual force against all the powers of darkness. These prayers are a mighty energy in overcoming the world, the flesh and the devil, and in shaping the destiny of God’s movements, to overcome evil and get the victory over the devil and all his works”                      E.N. Bounds

This is very precious prayer. It is a time to bring all of your personal requests to God. A time to seek God, asking him to open doors and light our path. No fancy Christianeaze.. only a simple “God, I need you”. To pour out your heart  to God is the best venting ever to be done.

This is a time where you can talk about your hopes, future, struggles, fears and your passions.

I have found that though these times, God speaks into my heart and encourages me to keep following Him with all of my heart. He lifts my spirit and gives me peace. He gives me ideas and makes me passionate about the things He is passionate about. He humbles me and brings to light my flaws.

It is beautiful to be so close to someone who knows you so intimately.

The song, Sweet Hour of Prayer, says it well:

Sweet hour of prayer
Sweet hour of prayer
That calls me from a world of care
And bids me at my Father’s throne
Make all my wants and wishes known
In seasons of distress and grief
My soul has often found relief
And oft escaped the tempter’s snare
By Thy return, sweet hour of prayer

Sweet hour of prayer
Sweet hour of prayer
The joys I feel, the bliss I share
Of those whose anxious spirits burn
With strong desires for Thy return
With such I hasten to the place
Where God my Savior shows His face
And gladly take my station there
And wait for Thee, sweet hour of prayer

Sweet hour of prayer! sweet hour of prayer
And wait for Thee, Sweet hour of prayer

Worship Him this morning and bask in his beautiful spirit. Our God is so good! Pray over your life today. Choose Him over everything else.

Have a blessed, beautiful day ❤ ❤ ❤
