When it comes to our obedience to the gospel we so often stop with prayer, if we even do that. The Bible is all about obedience though. We can’t just hear the word and stop at that. God’s word demands us to step up make a difference in our own lives as well as be an influence to others.
Luke 10:2-3 (NKJV) says, “Then He said to them, ‘The harvest truly is great, but the laborers are few; therefore pray the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into His harvest. Go your way; behold, I send you …’ “
When we choose to stop with just prayer or no obedience at all, we are stripping away the joy of being a believer. When we become believers, good works should automatically flow out of our love for the king.
However, almost everyone ignores or else doesn’t see, this command! The beautiful way that Jesus sends US to do his work here on earth.
He calls us to get up and go and show the world that there is a better way. This world will never fill or satisfy them. Only Jesus can do that.
Our apathy has become so extreme it is unbelievable. I am speaking for myself when I say that as well. We step to the sidelines and expect someone else to fix the problems in the world. We need to step up to the plate and take some of this responsibility on ourselves as well.
People are headed to hell under your watch.
Let’s step up and be the change that we wish to see in the world.

As Christians, we need to balance between prayer and action. God certainly doesn’t need us to do anything for Him, but we are called to share the gospel. Being an example of Christ is super important for sure! 🙂
