3 Books I’m Reading Right Now

Love Defined (by: Kristen Clark and Bethany Baird)

 – This is the continuation of their earlier book called Girl Defined. This book is centered around “embracing God’s vision for lasting love and satisfying relationships”. Its about discovering Gods best for your romantic relationships. I am on chapter 6 and so far it has been wonderful and eye opening. Our culture has it all backwards and this book does a great job of pointing women to God’s design for them and for love.

The Cry of the Soul (by: Dr. Dan B. Allender and Dr. Tremper Longman III)

– This book considers “how our emotions reveal our deepest questions about God”. This book gives us permission to feel and process our God-given emotions- even the hard ones. He uses the psalms to lead us through lament and healing. This book is deep and a really eye opening read. I definitely recommend this one.

You and Me Forever (by: Francis and Lisa Chan)

– As I prepare for marriage (IM ENGAGED EEK!) this book was amazing. “Marriage is great, but it’s not forever. It’s until death do us part. Then come eternal rewards or regrets depending on how we spent our lives. This book focuses on true love that is sacrificial an beautiful. It is focused entirely upon marriage in light of eternity.

Books are beautiful. Words are powerful.

What books have you been reading lately and how have they impacted you?

Have a beautiful day! ❤

I just finished “Wormbrand, Tortured for Christ”. It was intense and I had to put it down for awhile before finishing. It surely made me take a closer look at the love of God, my love for Him and for others.
