My Top 5 Favorite Recipes (Laundry, Cooking, Essential Oils)

These are some of my favorite and completely random recipes! I cherish the opportunities I have to be a homemaker and create community through these recipes. These recipes truly do enrich my life. My mom taught me most of these so all credit goes to her. She made my childhood amazing by having us do chores and always pushing us to learn how to make things when we could. How to Prepare for Marriage as a Single Girl (Content and Flourishing)

Oh my lanta girls, I wish I would have taken this more seriously. But also, this isn’t just about preparing for marriage, it is about preparing and living life to its fullest! It is about flourishing and being bountiful. If we are constantly looking forward to the next season in our lives, we will never be able to enjoy the one that we are currently in! I deeply wish that I would have chosen to be more content in my season of singleness and just taken advantage of the time to serve others, foster deep relationships, and learn skills. An Inspired Morning (Up Early & Productive)

Light slowly seeps into the darkness, overwhelming it with bright luminescent rays. The soft quiet turns to a noisy chirping in the trees above. Colors of every kind leak across the sky causing a smile within my soul.

Oh what we miss when we sleep through all of this. To watch the Lord’s universe come alive and wake up to the newness of a dawn.

5 Ways to Sacrificially Serve Your Husband

To preface this list, I just want to go ahead and say that you are not a bad wife if you do not do these things, and not all wives can do all these things! 5 Tips for Nesting on a Budget

Before we jump into these tips, let’s remember that less is  more. You don’t need all of the latest fashion statements to create a warm environment where you can serve and love people well. The home was created by God to be a place where people are nurtured and grow to know Him. It has such potential to be a place where ministry happens amidst the chaos. Discipleship over coffee, children learning about a God who loves them, people who are invited and wanted, strangers welcomed amiably, Small group meetings taking place, and the list goes on and on. Feminine by Choice

The importance of feminine beauty has been slowly stolen from our culture by the rise of feminism. Women are pushed to be more masculine and to dominate. As a Christian woman and wife, I think that this is terribly sad. A movement started with good intentions turned into masking what God has given us. Men and women were created differently and with different roles (a great book on this is “Girl Defined”.)

Speaking and Meditating on THE Truth

This is something that the Lord keeps reteaching me and pressing into my heart lately. It might be the fact that I married my best friend last week, and as a wife I want to create an awesome God honoring marriage where I speak life into Him and encourage Him to seek the Lord and be my leader. It could be the fact that as a wife ( and totally obsessed with children) that I can’t stop thinking about how I want to raise my kids to walk in truth, meditating on it constantly. It could be that I just moved to a new place and feel like it is a fresh start to be known for gospel talk rather than gossip talk. Continue reading “Speaking and Meditating on THE Truth”

Conflict resolution in relationships

Heated words flew back and forth in the air, tears welling in their eyes. Hateful comments and a lack of compassion on either end. Neither cared about each others feelings or what they were saying. Words were just daggers finding their target in the components heart. They wanted to be heard but wouldn’t hear the other. She storms out of the room. He stands there shaking.
